Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains how Beach House handles returns, eligibility, damaged items, processing timelines, and refund outcomes for approved requests.
1. General Return Eligibility
Beach House wants customers to feel comfortable ordering from our collection. If an item arrives and is not the right fit for your needs, you may contact us to request a return review, provided the item meets the eligibility standards described in this policy.
Return approval is not automatic. Each request is reviewed based on timing, item condition, product category, and any product-specific or promotional restrictions that may apply at the time of purchase.
2. Return Window
Unless a different period is stated for a specific item or promotion, return requests should be initiated within 14 calendar days of the confirmed delivery date. Requests made after that period may be declined unless required by applicable law or approved as a customer-service exception.
The return window begins on the date the order is marked delivered by the relevant carrier, or on the date the item is received if another delivery confirmation method is used.
3. Condition of Returned Merchandise
To be eligible for a refund, returned items must generally be unused, unwashed, and in their original condition, including original packaging, tags, protective wrapping, inserts, and accessories where applicable. Products that have been visibly worn, soiled, damaged after delivery, altered, or washed may not qualify for a refund.
Because Beach House sells lifestyle and personal-use items, product hygiene, resale condition, and presentation quality are important. Returned items must arrive back in a state suitable for inspection and, where permitted, future resale.
4. Non-Returnable and Restricted Items
Certain items may be marked as final sale, clearance, promotional closeout, personalized, custom-assembled, or otherwise non-returnable. Gift cards and similar digital-value products are also generally non-refundable unless required by law.
If a non-returnable item arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what was approved in the order process, please contact Beach House promptly so the issue can be reviewed and handled appropriately.
5. Return Request Procedure
To begin a return request, contact Beach House using the contact details listed below. Please include your name, order information, the item or items involved, the reason for the request, and any helpful supporting details such as photographs if the issue involves damage or defects.
Submitting a return request does not guarantee approval. Please wait for confirmation and instructions before shipping a product back. Unauthorized returns or items sent without sufficient identifying information may delay or prevent processing.
6. Return Shipping Responsibility
Unless the return is due to a verified error by Beach House, such as shipment of the wrong item or an item that arrived damaged or defective, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs and for ensuring the product is packaged securely.
Beach House is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit when the customer arranges the shipment independently. For this reason, tracked and appropriately insured return methods are recommended where available.
7. Inspection and Approval Process
Once returned items are received, Beach House may inspect them to verify condition, completeness, and return eligibility. Refund approval may be denied or adjusted if the product does not match the stated return reason, shows signs of use, is incomplete, or otherwise falls outside the policy requirements.
If a return is rejected after inspection, the item may be sent back to the customer at the customer’s expense where appropriate and feasible.
8. Refund Timing and Method
For approved returns, refunds are generally issued to the original payment method used for the completed purchase, unless another legally or operationally appropriate method is required. Processing times may vary depending on financial institutions, payment providers, and internal review timelines.
Shipping fees, handling charges, or similar service fees are generally non-refundable unless the return is the result of a verified Beach House error or unless otherwise required by law.
9. Partial Refunds
In some cases, Beach House may issue a partial refund rather than a full refund. This may occur if returned merchandise is not in original condition, is incomplete, has missing components, or has suffered customer-caused damage that does not fully eliminate all value.
Any partial refund decision will be made in good faith and based on the condition of the product, the nature of the issue, and the practical cost of restoration or loss in value.
10. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If you receive an item that is damaged in transit, defective upon arrival, or materially different from what was expected, please contact Beach House as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. Photographs of the shipping box, packaging, and product condition may help us review the issue more efficiently.
Where a claim is approved, Beach House may offer a replacement, store credit, refund, or another reasonable remedy depending on stock status, customer preference, and the nature of the issue.
11. Exchanges
Direct exchanges may be offered in limited situations depending on inventory availability and product type. In many cases, the most practical approach is to process a return review for the original item and then help the customer place a new order for the replacement item if desired.
Exchange availability may be limited during peak seasons, low-stock periods, or for items offered in small curated runs.
12. Abuse Prevention
Beach House reserves the right to decline return or refund requests that appear abusive, excessive, inconsistent with ordinary consumer use, or connected to suspected fraud. Repeated unusual return patterns may lead to refusal of future requests to the extent permitted by law.
This provision is intended to protect the business from misuse while still supporting fair treatment of legitimate customers and genuine order problems.
13. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit any rights that customers may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Where required by law, legal rights will prevail over any inconsistent term in this policy.
If a local law grants a longer return period, a mandatory repair option, or another non-waivable remedy, Beach House will apply the policy in a manner consistent with those obligations.
